Vegetable Pakoras



Ingredients For Besan Paste: Ingredients For Mixture:
2 c besan (gram flower) 1 small onion thinly sliced
2 tsp salt 1 large russet potato -chopped in small cubes
2 tsp red chili powder 1 Roma tomato – chopped in small pieces
1 tsp whole coriander 2 chopped Jalapeño peppers
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4th tsp baking powder Oil for deep frying
¼ tsp ajwain seeds
Warm water Chaat masala for garnishing
  1. Add Besan and all spices in bowl and dissolve with warm water to make thick paste
  2. Stir in onion, potato, tomato, and green chillis.
  3.  Deep  fry tablespoonful of mixture in hot oil until golden brown. Taste and adjust spices accordingly
  4. Fry Remaining mixture in small batches
  5. Sprinkle with chaat masala and serve
